Navajo photographer’s exhibit opens at San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) —Concho Valley residents can now immerse themselves in the photographic world of Will Wilson at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts.
SAMFA will be hosting a special free family day on Saturday, August 31, providing an opportunity for the community to explore Wilson’s vision free of charge.
According to a biography from the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation, Wilson was educated at the University of New Mexico, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts focusing specifically on photography, sculpture, and art history.
Wilson’s accolades include the Eiteljorg Native American Fine Art Fellowship and the Joan Mitchell Foundation Award for Sculpture. He additionally was honored as the Doran Artist in Residence at the Yale University Art Gallery.
Wilson’s exhibition will be open daily at SAMFA through September 15.
