Local restaurants
When it comes to your favorite french fries, Marshfield News-Herald readers said they find them at a lot of local spots.
C&C Concessions – Cindy’s Spuds
Wendy Weister Eichsteadt said she loves Cindy’s Spuds at the Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield. She said they have an authentic, rustic potato flavor, and the bits of crispy potato peel on the outside and the soft inside makes Cindy’s Spuds a unique homemade treat.
The Hideout, 10150 U.S. 10
Matt Grove said he is partial to The Hideout’s parmesan truffle fries. He said he likes the unique flavor, and the side pairs well with the rest of The Hideout’s menu.
Nutz Deep II, 809 S. Central Ave.
Autumn Dwyer said Nutz Deep II has fantastic fries with a crispy seasoning that makes them “irresistible.”
Pour Choices, 114 E. 14th St.
A few people said their favorite french fries come from Pour Choices.
Carla Osinski said she likes the poutine at Pour Choices. The french fry dish includes homemade mushroom gravy and fresh cheese curds from Nasonville Dairy.
Brooke Schultze said the french fries at Pour Choices are so good. She said she likes the fresh-cut fry with the house-blend seasoning.
Johanna Valtierrez said the french fries at Pour Choices are "the best!!!" She said she loves how well-seasoned they are and said they taste "exceptional" with a side of their ranch.
Stone Press Food Truck
Jill Trudeau said the rosemary fries at Stone Press Food Truck are "sooo good!" She said the thin-cut french fries have the right amount of everything, including rosemary seasoning. They also are served as a perfect portion size so you can still enjoy a panini sandwich from the food truck with them.

Several regional and national chains were among the list of restaurants that Marshfield News-Herald readers said served the best french fries.
Five Guys
Tod Planer and Stacy Taylor said they like Five Guys french fries. The nearest Five Guys location is 226425 Rib Mountain Drive in Rib Mountain.
A&W
Robin Siegler Werth said she likes A&W fries because they’re crispy and not greasy. She said they’re salted just right. You can find nearby A&W locations in Colby, Neillsville and Spencer.
Arby’s
Deb Dunn said she likes the crinkle-cut and salty fries at Arby's. They have a crunchy exterior that are warm and soft on the inside, she said. Marshfield's Arby's is located at 1501 N. Central Ave.
Checkers
Several people said they like Checkers french fries, and many said they like the seasoning the restaurant adds.
Steve Wasmundt said Checkers has the best french fries “hands down.” Ashley Engel called the seasoning on the Checkers french fries addicting, and Matt Lorfeld said he likes Checkers french fries because of the seasoning and texture.
The nearest Checkers location is in Wisconsin Rapids at 1840 Eighth St. S.
Chip’s Hamburgers
A few people shared they like the french fries at Chip's Hamburgers. Jeanine Breu said she likes Chip's fries because they are always hot and crispy and never soggy, and they remind her of her mom's homemade fries.

Culver’s
Culver's was one of the most popular choices for french fries. Many said they like the thicker crinkle cut.
Sarah Smith said she loves Culver’s french fries, especially the crinkle-cut style. Culver’s gets their fries crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and Smith said she can never seem to get them right at home.
Jennifer Rose said she likes Culver’s fries because they are crispy. She said they’re amazing paired with the Culver’s cheese sauce.
Michael Capelle said Culver’s is his favorite french fries for the crinkle cut, taste and overall presentation.

McDonald’s
Pat Stashek said she likes McDonald’s fries because they are thin-cut and crunchy. The Marshfield McDonald's is located at 1101 N. Central Ave.
Monk’s Bar & Grill
Jessica Reiman said the truffle fries at Monk’s Bar & Grill are so good. She likes the parmesan cheese and lemon aioli they come with. The nearest Monk's location is in Plover at 1400 Commerce Place.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews
Rosemary Roe said she likes Red Robin’s unlimited fries. The closest Red Robin restaurant is located at 225548 Rib Mountain Drive in Rib Mountain.
Wendy’s
William Bowen said he likes Wendy’s fries. The nearest Wendy's restaurant is in Plover.
