Taj Mahal - Agra, India
As one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal - meaning Crown Palace - is built on a foundation of love, and it's even more magnificent in person. In 1607, Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan met Mumtaz Mahal, and they would marry five years later. When she died in 1631 while giving birth to their 14th child, he had the monument constructed in her honor. After 22 years, the Taj Mahal was complete, and it continues to welcome visitors from all over the world centuries later.
