Morley Library Summer Reading Kickoff set for June 8
May 21—Morley Library's 2024 Summer Reading Program Adventure kicks off June 8 with free performances for all ages from Outback Ray and Ian Lane.
Attendees also can buy lunch from local food trucks on site and sign up for summer reading on the Beanstack app to track reading and activities for a chance at prizes, according to a news release. No registration is required for this event.
All activities will take place in the Lake County Job & Family Services parking lot, 177 Main St. in Painesville, adjacent to the library. Attendees are asked to park in the Morley Library lot to allow plenty of space for the show and other activities.
In case of inclement weather, activities will be moved to the library meeting rooms.
The Outback Ray Amazing Animal Show will take place 11 to 11:45 a.m. and Musician Ian Lane will perform hits from the 1980's from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Attendees also can sign up themselves or their children for a free Morley Library card while they are there.
