Mikey's Late Night Slice will open at former Yellow Brick Pizza location
Mikey's Late Night Slice is set to take over a space previously occupied by Yellow Brick Pizza at the corner of Oak and South 18th streets in Olde Towne East.
Mikey's will make the move to 892 Oak St. for its seventh location and second in the last year, after debuting at Hollywood Casino Columbus on the West Side last May.
Late Night Slice plans to make the new Olde Towne East space its own with decor and the kitchen operation, said Jason Biundo, chief creative officer at Mikey's Late Night Slice.
"If you've been to the Sacred Palm beneath our High and Vine location, you can expect a similar effort in creating a unique and fun space," he said.
The new location will also include the rollout of a new kiosk ordering system. Patrons will be able to use touch screens to place their orders, with servers bringing out their orders shortly after.
Late Night Slice plans to open in Olde Towne East in February, at least in part. A second-floor bar will open about a month later.
Meanwhile, Yellow Brick Pizza is expected to soon announce the opening of its site in the Trolley District's East Market development. The chain closed its flagship Oak Street location in June.
