MidCity District to host 4th annual crawfish festival on Saturday
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — MidCity District is hosting the fourth annual crawfish festival on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
The festival will include over 10,000 lbs of crawfish, live musical performances, kids play area, local vendors, food trucks, and dining and shopping across the District from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This year, a portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit a local non-profit called Kids to Love.
“At Kids to Love we have a wide variety of programs to help children in foster care, from birth to graduation and beyond,” Kids to Love Founder and CEO, Lee Marshall said. “We couldn’t serve our kids the way we do without the generosity of the community we live in, and we love that MidCity District is joining our system of support that helps children in their greatest moments of need.”
A team of Louisiana chefs will be transporting the fresh crawfish to boil on-site. All-you-can-eat crawfish wristbands are available. In addition, guests will be able to purchase individual crawfish platters which will include 2 lbs of boiled crawfish, one potato, one corn, and sausage.
More Cajun dishes and a variety of food options will be available for purchase from vendors, tenants, and food trucks.
The Market at MidCity returns to Huntsville for 6th year!
In addition to the food available, MidCity is bringing a bigger live music lineup than in previous years. Yonder Mountain String Band will headline, with special guests Hot 8 Brass Band, Admiral Phunk, Pat Jamar, and more. Live music begins at noon and will go all day.
The $60 ticket includes all-you-can-enjoy crawfish, sausage, corn, and potatoes, access to the event, kids’ zone, live music and entertainment, vendors, and food trucks. The $25 ticket includes entry to the event, access to the kid’s zone, live music and entertainment, vendors, and food trucks.
Guests are encouraged to come enjoy the crawfish festival and stay to explore the District. MidCity is an entertainment district therefore drinks can be purchased at local bars, placed in purple cups, and can be enjoyed anywhere throughout MidCity. All MidCity businesses will be open and entertaining guests.
