Microsoft Is Giving Away A One Piece-Themed Xbox

Microsoft has been going hard on promotional consoles and products lately. We’ve seen a Barbie mansion Series S, and pizza-scented Xbox controllers celebrating the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, but this new promo takes it to a whole other level, this time tying in with the new Netflix One Piece series.
Microsoft and Netflix have announced a new competition in which participants can win one of two different One Piece-themed Xbox Series X consoles. Each prize package contains the customized console itself, a special stand for the console themed around either the One Piece map or Luffy’s Straw Hat, and a customized Xbox Series controller.
The Straw Hat console features artwork of the Going Merry ship and the crew from the live-action series, with the controller featuring the Going Merry surrounded by clouds. The map console on the other hand doesn’t feature any characters at all, instead showing the Going Merry, some fancy topographical map designs on the side, and a controller adorned in more map-like markings.
It’s all very cool, and is the perfect accompaniment for fans excited for the One Piece series, set to air later this week. For what it’s worth, we think the map console is just a little bit cooler, with the hat console coming off as a little bit gaudy, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers, right?
It seems like the designs for these consoles are painted onto the consoles themselves, rather than using the recently announced Xbox velcro skins that attach to the outside of a Series X console. Of course, if you don’t like the look of the One Piece consoles, and simply want a Series X without having to pay for it, you could always get one of those velcro skins and hide it altogether. It’s a win/win!
Entering the competition is simple. All you have to do is follow Xbox on Twitter, head on over to this specific Xbox tweet, and quote the tweet with the #OnePieceXboxSweepstakes hashtag. The winners will be drawn in a few weeks, after September 18, 2023, and the competition is open to any Xbox Console supported country or region.
