Melania Trump Is Planning a Picnic
It's been 20 days since the public has set eyes on Melania Trump, but don't you worry, she's not gone forever. She's just planning a picnic!
Earlier this month, it was announced that Trump had undergone successful kidney surgery and would be recovering for a week's time. As of Wednesday, she had yet to make an appearance post-surgery, leading some to wonder about the status of the first lady.
But now, her spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham told PEOPLE that Trump is "doing really well" and is back to work, attending internal meetings and going over planning for events such as July 4th and the Congressional Picnic. However, it's unclear when she'll next attend a public event.
Trump was last spotted with her husband on May 10th when the two helped welcome home three Americans released from prison in North Korea. The Washington Post has called Trump's absence "unusually long," though the first lady has still kept up her Twitter presence:
Thank you Master Chief Slabinski for your heroic actions. @POTUS & I are proud to have you @WhiteHouse today to award the #MedalOfHonor. Thank you & thank you to all our military who risk & sacrifice your lives for our freedom.

On #MemorialDay we honor the many Americans who laid down their lives for our great country. As one nation under God, we come together to remember that freedom isn’t free. Thank you to all the service members & their families who sacrifice so much to keep us safe. 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/H6yhNQXyPg
