Meghan Markle Wore a Thing: Club Monaco Dress in Africa Edition
Featuring baby Archie in baby-blue dungarees by H&M.
Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect? with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."
Four-month-old Archie Mountbatten-Windsor joined the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for an outing on day three of their tour of South Africa. The little royal joined his parents to meet with famed anti-apartheid campaigner Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe.
For his first official royal engagement, Archie wore baby-blue dungarees by H&M. His mother, the lovely Duchess, was clad in a white-and-blue floaty silk dress from Club Monaco. Featuring a band collar, a self-tie belt at the waist and a ruffled hem, the frock — which is currently sold out — was a perfect fit for the occasion: its relaxed silhouette allowed the Duchess to play with her adorable tot (see charming photo of the mother-son duo below), while still looking appropriately dressed for afternoon tea.
The Duchess wore navy Manolo Blahnik pointed-toe pumps and kept her accessories simple, but elegant with her Jennifer Meyer turquoise earrings that she's been wearing throughout the tour. Her beauty look was equally understated and baby-proof, as she smartly tied her hair back into a slick bun to avoid any tugs from tiny hands.
