Meghan Markle Kept it Casual in Jeans and a Crisp Button Down For a Visit to Luminary Bakery
Meghan Markle is continuing her busy fall with another royal engagement—earlier this week, the Duchess of Sussex paid a visit to Luminary Bakery, a social enterprise bakery.
The Duchess was on hand to celebrate the opening of the bakery's newest location in London. In a video shared on the Sussex Royal Instagram feed, Meghan is seen greeting women who work at the bakery, watching the cakes and baked goods being made, and even put an apron on to finish icing an elaborate cake. For the outing, Meghan kept it casual in a pair of blue and white striped button down shirt, which is reportedly by Poplin, according to Meghan's Mirror. She paired it with blue jeans, a leather skinny belt by Madewell, and white sneakers.

Meghan spotlighted Luminary Bakery in the September issue of British Vogue, which she guest edited. The bakery was identified as a "Force of Change" because it promotes women's empowerment by hiring disadvantaged women and giving them the job training and skills necessary to excel in the workplace. Beyond the Duchess supporting the bakery's powerful mission, Meghan has also reportedly enjoyed their cakes, most recently for her 38th birthday in August 2019.
The Duchess of Sussex has had a jam-packed schedule this fall. After a busy royal tour in South Africa, Meghan also stepped out for an inspiring evening at the WellChild Awards with Prince Harry in mid-October, and attended two events for One Young World, an organization that hosted a summit in London last month.
Notably, Meghan and Harry also released their emotional documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, in October. The project centered on their tour events and work across Africa, but also shed light on how the couple has struggled with intense media scrutiny in recent months.
"I never thought that this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair," Meghan told British broadcaster Tom Bradley in the documentary. "That's the part that's really hard to reconcile." Watch even more of Meghan's heartfelt remarks here:
