Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Reportedly Made "an Agreement" to Get Along
Alright, guys. A royal expert just spilled some major British tea re: the royal feud rumors between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.
Apparently, the two of them basically had to agree to get along, which is fairly yikes.
Rumors of a feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have been legit dominating headlines for months now, and a royal expert just gave more intel into what actually went down between the two of them and their husbands.
Katie Nicholl told Glamour that she would categorize it more as tension than an outright feud.
“I do think there is some truth to there having been some tension-not just between the duchesses but between the dukes, as well,” she said. “As we all know, things can gather momentum pretty quickly. So while I think there’s been tension, I don’t believe there has been some feud.”
In case it slipped your mind, at the height of that "feud," a story came out that said Kate Middleton left Princess Charlotte's fitting for her royal wedding outfit in tears. Since then, the two women have reportedly decided to be civil towards one another, especially in public.
“I do know that Meghan and Kate have come to an agreement to get along, to make an effort, to be amiable and warm towards each other in public,” Nicholl said. “They both realize it’s in neither of their interests to have these catfight headlines. It’s not what either of them want.”
That was definitely on display two weeks ago when the two of them attended the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey together. They shared a sweet greeting when they got there, and the internet proceeded to flip out.
A source told Vanity Fair at the time that was definitely intentional on Kate's part. She knew the cameras would be watching.
“There are no bad feelings, and I think Kate was keen to put an end to these rift rumors. She has no problem with Meghan, and she has made it clear to Meghan that she’s there for advice or whatever Meghan might need.”
