Meghan Markle Just Gave Us a First Glimpse Inside Her & Prince Harry’s New Santa Barbara Home
Meghan Markle looks to be all settled in and comfortable in her new California home, according to her latest video appearance.
Late last week, the 39-year-old closed out a virtual summit from The 19th*, a new nonprofit, nonpartisan newsroom focused on gender and politics, with an interview with its co-founder and CEO Emily Ramshaw. Shot from her family’s new house in Santa Barbara, which Meghan, Harry and baby Archie apparently moved into last month, the video gave fans a sneak peek into the couple’s new digs.
In the clip, the Duchess of Sussex is seated on a gorgeous beige chair with a wooden frame. Behind her is a dark wood window with a view of gorgeous greenery and plenty of natural light. And we can see indoor plants as well, including a large, white orchid placed on a table directly next to her.
The royals’ new home is about 100 miles north of the L.A. estate (formerly owned by Tyler Perry) they had been staying at since the beginning of quarantine. Prior to living in California, the trio spent time on Vancouver Island after they officially stepped down as senior members of the royal family.
The community is also home to stars like Oprah Winfrey, who in 2019 bought an estate in Montecito, her second in the Santa Barbara neighborhood, that had previously been owned by actor Jeff Bridges. Other celebrities in the area also include Ellen DeGeneres, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lopez and Kevin Costner.
From all of the three different homes the Sussexes have lived in over the last year, we’ve learned one thing for certain—beige is their go-to wall color.
