Meghan & Harry Attend Invictus Games Trials
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are attending the trials for the Invictus Games in at the University of Bath today. The royal is a patron of the event, which is "the only international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women," according to Kensington Palace.
This year's competition, which the athletes are trying out for today, will take place in Sydney, Australia, taking the games across the globe after previously being held in London (2014), Orlando (2016), and Toronto (2017).
The couple arrived to the track, and met with the competitors.
Although the dress code for this event was more casual than those of Markle's prior royal engagements, the future duchess didn't quite go for athleticwear and sneakers. Instead, she wore a black quarter-zip sweatshirt over bootcut jeans by Mother Denim and a pair of black heeled boots for the event. She covered up in an army green trench coat by Babaton for Aritizia for a chic, dressed-down look.
The Invictus Games are also an important part of Harry and Meghan's history as a couple. It was during last year's competition in Toronto, Markle's home base at the time, that they made their first public appearance together. They arrived to a wheelchair tennis match holding hands and got cuddly watching from the front row.
Markle and the prince were also spotted at the games' opening ceremony a few days before, but they were seated separately. They really packed on the PDA, however, when they appeared together at the closing ceremony, accompanied by Markle's mom, Doria Ragland, and her friends, Jessica Mulroney and Markus Anderson.
