Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks Are Both in Italy and We Want a 'You've Got Mail' Reunion

Life truly isn't fair. The latest proof: Two of our all-time favorite co-stars are living it up in Italy, and we weren't invited.

Earlier this week, Meg Ryan spent a bit of time in Switzerland. There, she attended the 71st Locarno Film Festival, where she received the Leopard Club Award, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Ryan even showed off her vacation a bit in a brief video posted to Instagram.

Next, the 56-year-old star kept the vacation vibes going and was photographed hopping into the waters off of Portofino, Italy. There, the Dailly Mail noted, she was joined by a female companion. The pair happily sunned themselves on the boat’s deck throughout the day and took turns floating in the warm water with the help of a pool noodle.

Ryan was also spotted with the same friend galavanting around the town, doing a bit of sightseeing and window shopping, as one does on summer vacation.

And according to Yahoo, her "You've Got Mail" and "Sleepless in Seattle" co-star Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson are also in town celebrating their summer vacation. Hanks joked about his new Italian ride on social media, though we seriously wish he'd hop in and use it to go pay Ryan a visit for old time's sake.

Beyond Hanks and Ryan, a number of stars have descended on Europe for the season. That includes Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson, who were busy earlier this summer soaking up the sun in Greece, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who have been spotted having several family photoshoots in France. Even pop princess Britney Spears has been getting in on the action, taking some time away from her tour to check out the sights in the United Kingdom and Germany.
