As Amy Nicholson wrote in "The Year of Michelle Yeoh"in Town & Country's September 2022 issue. "Lately Yeoh is beginning to feel too far away from home. Not from her houses in Paris, Geneva, and Ipoh, Malaysia, where she was born, but, she says, 'wherever the people that I love are. Wherever Jean is.'"
