As the seasons shift and summer fades away, everyone from Lizzo to #HotGirlSummer Fairy Godmother Megan Thee Stallion has begun submitting seasonally-appropriate revamps. And whether it's Christian Girl Autumn or Comfy Boi Fall, we've struck upon a general sense of cozy melancholy. Gone is the credo of being a "hot girl" and all of the Instagrammable pressure it entails. Welcome the slightly chilled, ever-so-pumpkin-spiced malaise of a new meme.

Letting go of inhibitions has transitioned to slipping into a cozy sweater, but the principle remains the same: doing whatever the hell you want—all season long. "A Hot Girl exudes self-love and self-confidence," Megan told ELLE.com in June. "A Hot Girl is somebody who's super confident; somebody that's just unapologetically them. A sassy attitude and doesn't care what nobody has to say about them."

Plus, there's plenty of time to crown an heir to the #HotGirlSummer throne, especially since ELLE.com won't be observing autumn until Mariah Carey declares it so. Here, some of Twitter's finest work:

Some celebs and brands have anointed successors including Fat Girl Fall, Cozy Boy Fall, and, in an ode to Chrissy Teigen, Filthy-Mouthed Wife Fall.

Many on social media seem to equate autumn with antidepressants, or at the very least, a state of mind that includes stress, sorrow, and sleep deprivation.

Of course, October brings the official arrival of ~spooky~ season...

Briefly, the emergence of Christian Girl Fall seemed like the answer to the question no one asked.

Others defied easy categorization, with people declaring the season everything from "Thotumn" to "Divorce Lawyer Autumn."

Still, some Twitter users are looking towards winter. When the time comes, they're armed with memes.
