McDonald's Quarter Pounder Is Getting a Spicy Upgrade
McDonald's is adding a little spice to the menu!
The fast food chain is officially amping up the classic Quarter Pounder with Cheese for a limited time by introducing the Cheesy Jalape?o Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
The new burger will have a 100% fresh beef patty, two slices of American cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, new pickled jalape?o slices, and a creamy cheese sauce on top. This delicious burger with be compiled on a toasted sesame seed bun.
If you're a fan of the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, the extra patty variation will also be available for the Cheesy Jalape?o Bacon version.
McDonald's new offering will be available at select locations nationwide for a limited time, and it's expected to debut on McDonald's menus on July 10.
While McDonald's is only now confirming the new menu item, rumors have been spreading online all month after someone on Reddit spotted jalape?o peppers and cheddar cheese sauce packets being delivered to a McDonald's restaurant.
Recently, McDonald's had another exciting release: a Grimace-inspired meal for the character's birthday.
It includes a limited-edition purple shake to match the purple monster mascot, the choice of a 10-piece Chicken McNugget or a Big Mac, and fries.
The shake is expected to be a vanilla soft serve with berry flavors. Based on Parade's review of Grimace's birthday meal, most report that blueberry is the main flavor of the drink.
