McCormick’s Birthday Cake Sugar and Spice Blend Will Be Your New Seasoning of Choice

This seasoning is made up of colorful sugar specks that will add an extra dash of sweetness, in the form of a rainbow, to your baked goods.
“Get ready for ‘ooh’s’ and ‘aah’s’ when you use it to garnish a frosted cake, cupcakes, or iced cookies,” the description says. “Make beverages like milkshakes even more delicious with a dash of this spice blend. It’s great for perking up plain pancakes, sugar cookies, and vanilla ice cream or pudding.”
So, basically, put a few dashes of this sugar-and-spice blend on anything sweet and it’s bound to make it that much better. The 2.5-ounce Birthday Cake Sugar and Spice Blend is available at retailers now, including Walmart.
That’s not all! The birthday cake seasoning is just the start of McCormick’s sugar-and-spice blends. The brand also released Blueberry Vanilla (recommended for waffles, sugar cookies, and smoothies), Apple Cinnamon (recommended for cookies, ice cream, and pancakes), Vanilla Cinnamon (recommended for cookies, French toast, and mixed fruit), and Lemon Ginger (recommended for ice cream, mixed berries, and vanilla mousse).
Before this moment, we associated the word “seasoning” with savory dishes (garlic powder, anyone?), but now we’ll be seasoning our desserts with sugary blends.
