Mason and Michael Ho Surf Huge Waimea Bay on Black Friday
More from the Black Friday swell.
It's like really good Thanksgiving leftovers that just aren't going away. That weekend, big wave surfers in Hawaii scored on Maui and Oahu.
Kai Lenny charged massive Jaws and got eaten alive, reminding us that despite our suspicions, he really is human. Jamie O'Brien braved "psycho" Pipeline, Koa Smith trained for the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational at Waimea Bay, and Koa Rothman, Eli Olson, Mark Healey, and Nathan Florence charged the outer reefs.
And now, some bombs with the Ho family.
Ho & Pringle Productions released the edit above a few days ago and captioned it:
"Michael Ho takes his son Mason to Waimea Bay during a big swell on Black Friday. Mason tests out a new Waimea gun Matt Biolos put some extra special work into."
As with most big days at The Bay, it was crowded AF. Mason got a bunch of massive bombs, but shared the lineup with some other pro and local big wave surfers like Takayuki Wakita, Kala Grace, Balaram Stack, Mikey O'Shaughnessy, Ross Williams, Leo Fioravanti, and Pomai Hoapili.
Viewers are always super psyched on footage of Mason. He seems to have his own following. Check out a couple of comments below:
"Look at all those legends just sending it!"
"Mason I thank you for bringing us some of the best surf content on the planet, so sales pitch, just surfing and good vibes."
"Killer drops. Killer soundtrack. All Killer, No Filler. As usual. Mahalo for being some of the realest. Aloha from the Low Country GA."
