The Masked Singer' Is Going On A Tour Because, Yes, Dreams Come True
The Masked Singer fun is going to go on much longer than Season 3, because host Nick Cannon announced during the Feb. 12 episode that there's going to be a Masked Singer tour. (Yes, we're serious.) According to the tour's website, shows start in May and go through August, and the singers will hit stages all over America. Seats are already on sale, so you can find tickets for a city near you on the official Masked Singer Tour site or Live Nation.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Rob Wade, President of Fox's Alternative Entertainment and Specials said in a statement that they were really excited to make this tour happen. "The Masked Singer National Tour is a perfect ... fun way for us to bring The Masked Singer and its beloved characters to fans and families across the across the country, live and in person."
As soon as Cannon announced the event, fans took to Twitter to report that, yes, they will 100% be going to this tour. How can you not? It's The Masked Singer only live and right in front of you.
The tour will operate a little differently than the show, according to the website. It's not a singing competition show. Rather, it will be hosted by two celebrities who competes on the series. (Those hosts will be announced at a later date.) In addition to those hosts, in each city, a local celebrity will perform and be unmasked live. If you go, you'll get to be a judge and try to guess just like Jenny McCarthy and Co. do every week. (Fingers crossed you guess better than Ken Jeong does, though.)
The site also teases that surprise celebrity hosts and new performances will be part of the two-hour live shows. None of the judges, however, are currently scheduled to be on the tour stops. (Sorry Jeong fans.) As a fun aside, though, the site says that there is no dress code for attendees, "but "costumes are encouraged." So get working on your best Thingamajig suits now.
The tour kicks off in Detroit, Michigan on May 28 and will work its way through over 45 cities before it finishes up in Los Angeles, California. No matter where you live in the country, you deserve a chance to see a live Masked Singer unmasking near you.
