Martha Stewart Reacts to Rumors That She's Pete Davidson's Next Girlfriend
Options for their celebrity couple nickname include: 'Mete' (pronounced 'meat').
After it was reported that Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian broke up, the internet wasted no time creating memes about who would be the next celebrity to be intertwined with the serial dater, Davidson.
Fans pick of choice? None other than American chef, TV personality and businesswoman, Martha Stewart.
Writer and producer Gennefer Gross (who, according to IMDB, has worked on a variety of TV shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Food: Fact Or Fiction?) is credited with starting the viral meme after tweeting a resurfaced photo of the 81-year-old holding hands with the 28-year-old comedian and former Saturday Night Live star at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner on Apr. 30.
"We should've seen this coming," Gross joked.
Stewart had previously shared the picture in question on her Instagram account, but it wasn't scrutinized until after Gross' meme took off.
"Why is Martha Stewart holding Pete Davidsons [sic] hand???" one user questioned.

In recent interview, Stewart was forced to respond to the light-hearted gossip and did so by gushing over Davidson–in the most motherly way possible, of course.
"Pete Davidson is like the son I never had," she told the Daily Mail before adding: "He is a charming boy who is finding his way."
Stewart also hinted that her professional relationship with the King Of Staten Island star has only strengthened since the infamous image was snapped.
“I’ve invited him to come on my podcast and I look forward to hearing what he has to say."
In a previous Instagram post, Stewart revealed that she and Davidson met on stage seven years ago; and given the celebrity's new statements, it's safe to say that this won't be the last time that fans hear of the unlikely duo being spotted together.
