Lucifer Could Be Joining The CW's 'Arrowverse'
Fans of the supernatural show Lucifer might only be getting one more season of devilish detective drama, but it looks like Tom Ellis might soon be appearing as the titular fallen angel on another network. The actor was just spotted on the set of The Flash, one of the many shows based on DC characters that air on The CW, prompting speculation that Lucifer will be playing a part in the upcoming 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' crossover event.
There was a scene with at least 4 actors tonight at the set.
David Ramsey, Katherine McNamara and Matt Ryan.... no surprises there.
They did a scene with Tom Ellis dressed like Lucifer Morningstar.

Lucifer originally aired on FOX and then made the move to Netflix for its fourth season, so it isn't technically part of The CW's sprawling 'Arrowverse', which includes Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. But the show is based on the character from Neil Gaiman's Sandman comic book series, which takes place within the DC universe, so it is entirely possible that Ellis will be there and in character as Lucifer when the crossover hits screens.
Of course, it is possible that Ellis was just visiting friends on set, as both The Flash and Lucifer shoot in Vancouver, but it's not inconceivable that the Arrowverse is expanding even more — this latest crossover event (which has become an annual tradition) promises to be the biggest yet, bringing in characters from Batwoman and Black Lightning and spanning five hours. What's one more DC character thrown into the mix?
The fifth and final season of Lucifer is currently in production, and the showrunners have promised fans that it will end in a way that is both "crazy" and "brilliant." But even with Lucifer coming to an end, the character has proven so wildly popular among viewers that we may well see him pop up more than once elsewhere in the DC universe in the future.
