'Looney Tunes' comes to life as man captures video of coyote chasing a roadrunner
If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that anything is possible — even if it seems Looney Tunes.
While Michael Bogan, an assistant professor at the school of natural resources and the Environment at the University of Arizona, was wandering the Santa Cruz River in Tucson, Ariz., he captured a video of a coyote chasing a roadrunner.
“There is literally a coyote chasing a roadrunner,” Bogan can be heard saying in the video he shared on Sunday. “I can’t believe it. That is a straight-up cartoon.”
Bogan posted the clip to his Twitter and Instagram accounts and the clip quickly went viral.
“The Warner Brothers cartoon was art imitating life, but witnessing this scene on the Santa Cruz River today in downtown Tucson really felt like a case of life imitating art,” he captioned the video on Instagram.
Unfortunately for the coyote, it unable to catch the roadrunner. Luckily for this roadrunner, no clever tricks were needed to make off unharmed.
And once again, the roadrunner emerges victorious! #poorcoyote pic.twitter.com/G6MzV0ahZd
