Pool-a-Palooza

What: Enjoy a night swim with the family. There will be beach ball volleyball and poolside games and music. Concessions will be available. Proper swim attire required. Participants age 12 or younger must be accommodated by an adult.

Concerts on the Square: The Jimmys

What: The Jimmys will perform.

Barbie/Action Figure Camp

What: This will be a day filled with pink Barbie and camo action figure fun, filled with music, obstacles, games, activities, crafts and more. This camp is open to the public and is for athletes of all ability levels. All attending athletes should bring a lunch. There will be morning gym time, themed craft time, lunch break, afternoon gym time and a themed game/activity. Please bring your favorite dolls and accessories.

Tutty Baker Days

What: The Tutty Baker Days Festival is a family-friendly, business forward community event to celebrate what it means to love Freeport. It includes a carnival, food trucks, music, fireworks, face painting, table vendors, giveaways, DJ and more. Photo booth from 5-8 p.m. both days. The Groove Hotel performs from 7-10 Friday at the Great Debate Beer Garden. On Saturday, Illinois James performs from 2-5 p.m., Jukebox Baby from 6-9 p.m. and Infinity from 7-9:30 p.m. Car show by Freeport Hot Rods from 4-9 p.m. Saturday at 114 E. Stephenson St.

Tutty Baker Fest Punk Rock Night

What: Bands performing include Blackcat Manor, Won’t Stay Dead, James the Boneless and Flaccid Pickle.

Cost: Suggested $5 donation for the bands

Tutty Baker Bags Tournament

What: Enjoy this second annual friendly competition at the Tutty Baker Fest. Proceeds benefit Freeport Wrestling.

Baby Shark Pool Party

What: This afternoon event will include water activities and games. Make memories with your tots.

Wing It! Glow Golf

What: Bring your favorite foursome to play a round with glow-in-the-dark golf balls and complimentary glow sticks.

Music in the Park

What: A local favorite, Just for Kicks, returns with a variety of genres and styles. Bring a lawn chair, grab a treat at the Snack Shop (open until 7 p.m. on concert nights) and enjoy the tunes. For music lovers of all ages. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to St. John's Lutheran Church, 625 Country Lane Drive and signs will be posted at the park.

Freeport Concert Band

What: Enjoy the sounds of Kevin Jensen and the Freeport Concert Band under the stars. There is bench seating or bring a lawn chair.

McConnell Farm Market

What: The market is held the second Sunday of the month during harvest season, rain or shine, hot or cold.

Beeswrap Wax

What: Beeswax wraps can be used to cover and store food in place of plastic wrap or tinfoil. Create your own wraps using pieces of cloth, beeswax, pine resin and jojoba oil. This craft is not recommended for children younger than 14. Register each person separately.

Green County Fair

What: Grandstand events include antiques, horse, truck and tractor pulls; demolition derby; rodeo; tug-of-war; bulls and barrels; dirt bike and 4-wheeler races; and fireworks. Performances by Frank Martin Busch & The Name; Julia Neville; The Blues Smoothies; and Eli Alger and the Faster Horses. All Around Amusemens is providing carnival midway rides, attractions and games. Wednesday Morning Movie Series

What: Get reserved seating tickets online (no convenience fee) or at the theatre. Doors open at 9 a.m. for entertainment and games. All locations will have a Wednesday morning auditorium dedicated for guests who may need more freedom than a traditional cinema setting allows. With the lights turned up and sound turned down, you can talk and move around, which can be helpful for young families or guests with special needs. July 17 movie is Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie (rated PG).

Heatwave! Vintage Songs of the Summer

What: Accomplished performers, husband and wife duo, Matt and Cynthia Gruel, present harmonies, theatrical performances and engaging arrangements. This one-hour musical show captures the essence of summer with songs such as “Heatwave,” “Summer in the City,” “Summertime Blues,” “Cruel Summer,” “Too Darn Hot,” “Summertime,” “Summer of ‘69,” “Walkin’ on Sunshine” and more. Songs range from the 1920s-1980s and feature artists like The Beach Boys, Martha and the Vandellas, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Van Morrison, The Beatles, Donna Summer, Otis Redding, The Drifters, Chicago and Irving Berlin.
