LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WJW) – One lucky winner will be celebrating the upcoming total solar eclipse in a pretty sweet way.
In celebration of the astronomical phenomenon, Sweet Designs in Lakewood is giving away a 20-pound solid chocolate moon, valued at $500.
The local chocolatier is also giving away five 2.5-pound moons “filled with mystery flavors,” according to their website.

To win, chocolate lovers have to guess how many people they think will enter the competition. Contestants must be 18 or older. Learn more about how to enter right here.
“The moon has a special place in my heart. Remember when our chocolates went to space in 1997?” owner Ines Rehner said. Her biography on Sweet Designs’ website says the chocolate was enjoyed by astronauts aboard the Space Shuttle. “It is literally out of this world.”
The contest ends at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 5.
The winners will be announced during a pre-eclipse party at Sweet Designs, 16100 Detroit Ave., on Saturday, April 6, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A live drawing will be held at the event at 2 p.m.
The winner doesn’t have to be at the event, but organizers are encouraging everyone to join the fun.
Organizers say there will be also free hot chocolate available.
