You’ll Want to Bid on Everything in This ELLE Decor Virtual Charity Auction

For the past year, ELLE Decor has asked a designer or artisan to dream up a one-of-a-kind creation—for which price was no concern—to run on the back page of each issue of the magazine. The ongoing feature is called Not for Sale. Names as varied as the father-and-son jewelry mavens David and Evan Yurman and the heritage linens brand D. Porthault have contributed dazzling earrings and dizzyingly flowered bedding, respectively, for the column. Now, starting at noon Eastern Time on December 7, through 3 p.m. ET on December 17, these items will be part of a virtual auction hosted by Charitybuzz: The third-annual Not For Sale auction will benefit Housing Works, the 30-year-old organization devoted to addressing homelessness and AIDS through advocacy, lifesaving services, and entrepreneurship. The 10 items on offer have a combined estimated worth of more than $161,000, so while these pieces may not exactly be for sale, they are inarguably of great value.
