Lizzo looks ‘unreal’ with orange lipstick and bleached brows
Lizzo definitely understood the assignment.
On Friday, the 33-year-old singer shared several photos of herself rocking a very '90s-esque look, complete with blond bantu knots and slayed baby hairs, bleached blond eyebrows and bright orange lipstick with dark lip liner. She also wore large gold earrings and an orange one-shoulder top, as well as gray snakeskin-patterned pants with orange accents by Bishme Cromartie, a Black designer.
"HOW NOW, BLONDE BROW?" Lizzo captioned the post.
She shared another set of photos with the same look in a separate post in which she posed near a refrigerator and humorously wrote, "HIDE YA SNACKS HO."
Fans could not get enough of the "Truth Hurts" singer's bold new look.
"U look stunning," a fan wrote.
"Bae i cant handle it," a commenter said.
"You look tf goodt! Orange is a vibe working on this level of confidence!!" someone added.
"So hot it’s unreal," another person declared.
Lizzo debuted her bleached eyebrows along with a short platinum pixie cut earlier in the week and is no stranger to experimenting with gutsy looks.
Pushing the limits of fashion has inspired not only what her fans wear but also how they feel. Lizzo has been very outspoken about body confidence, particularly in the spotlight. During an interview in May about her collaboration with Dove's Self-Esteem Project, she talked about how taking off her clothes during an interview for StyleLikeU's YouTube series What’s Underneath Project a few years ago helped her on her self-love journey.
"I took my wig off and talked about the things I loved about myself. I was like, if anybody wants to see how I really look, all they got to do is go to YouTube,” she recalled. “I’m going to continue to live in this body and survive in this body and be happy and actually enjoy life. I need to find a way to like myself. I was body negative for a long time. Most people are taught that body negativity is normal, right? Then I became body positive, which is the opposite of that. It’s disruptive. I believe everything I say about my body. But to push this conversation forward, we need to normalize it.”
