'Little People, Big World' star Tori Roloff shares a totally relatable — but totally gross — parenting snapshot
Every parent has an epic pοοp story — and Little People, Big World’s Tori Roloff isn’t hiding hers.
Despite running the risk of “getting mom-shamed (again…),” the 27-year-old reality star shared a glimpse of the realities of parenthood on Monday. After a few particularly hellish few days at home — including having to hose down her ill husband Zach‘s vomit from their front porch — she walked into their 15-month-old son Jackson’s nursery to find him covered in feces. In an Instagram post, she recounted the incident — photo included.
“He often wakes up and just hangs quietly,” Tori wrote. “I needed the extra time, so I left him a couple minutes. After about 20 min, I went in his room [and] noticed something on his face.”
At first she thought it was blood and started “freaking out,” but a strong odor quickly gave away the mystery substance. “As I moved closer, the smell overcame me,” she continued. “I noticed brown spread all over his sheets and crib- and oh ya- that’s pοοp… IN HIS HAIR!!!!”

Believe it or not, things got worse. “We don’t currently have hot water in our house, so I had to drive to another house to bathe him. So ya. That’s my day. If you were having a rough day I hope this helps. I can laugh now that Jackson is asleep in a thoroughly scrubbed crib.”
Having gone through that unforgettable experience, she had some words of wisdom for new parents: “Never. Ever. Under any circumstances. Put your child to bed in just a diaper,” she said. “Just don’t do it.” (Amazingly, she wrote the whole post without using a single pοοp emoji.)
Many of the comments on Tori’s post were supportive, including “I love how real and honest you are!” and “I think we all have pics of pοοp covered kiddos, we’re not all brave enough to post them!” But the reality TV star has been “ripped apart” many other times for the way she parents Jackson, who was born with achondroplasia, the same kind of dwarfism that his father has. For instance, a cute photo op with Zach and the baby on a tractor on the Roloff family farm had the commenters riled up.

Ditto a photo op on a lawn mower (that was off).

Tori has also been attacked for having a stuffed animal and a blanket in the baby’s crib, leading to her speaking out about shaming. “I promise I take all aspects of parenting and and safety seriously,” she wrote last year. “But y’all … what I do with my kid may be different than you and that doesn’t make me wrong. So please keep the ‘perfect parent’ comments to a minimum so I can continue sharing what I love.”
Tori and Zach celebrated their third wedding anniversary on Wednesday. She paid tribute to him in another post — that was pοοp-free. “I have loved watching you become a dad and it’s made me fall more in love with you,” she gushed. “Marriage isn’t always the easiest thing to do but I’m thankful I have the best partner in life to navigate it and make it stronger every day.”
