Letter to the Editor: Children younger than 11 should not have cellphones
I believe that any child younger than 11 should not have a cellphone. I believe this very much because it could cause them to be addicted to the phone at a very young age. This could cause them not to get any time outside, which is not very healthy. It also could make it so their food schedule is off balance.
They could also meet people who they might not think are evil people, but they could actually be. This creates a safety concern for kids who might not know what they are doing. One last thing that I believe makes phones for people younger than 11 harmful is they may start to socialize only through screens instead of in person.
