Lea Michele “Was So Surprised” When Zandy Reich Proposed: Get the Details
Nope, that ring is yours, Lea Michele! Days after her engagement to Zandy Reich, the Glee actress stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, May 2, to discuss his proposal and more details.
The actress, 31, announced her engagement to the retail company founder on Sunday, alongside a photo of her hand covering her face. “Yes,” she expressed with her new bling front and center for all to admire.
According to the future bride, she is still in utter disbelief that Reich had proposed. Cohen, meanwhile, joked about the size of the star’s diamond. “Someone had tweeted in wanting to know if you need a crane to carry your ring,” the show host noted. “It’s gorgeous.”

“I was so surprised, I kept saying, ‘Stop joking around, stop joking around!'” she said on WWHL. “I keep thinking it’s borrowed and I have to give it back at some point.”
The piece, a stunning four-carat, radiant-cut ring, was co-designed by Reich with Leor Yerushalmi (the same force behind Jessica Biel’s engagement ring).
The Knot got more details about the ring from Greg Kwiat, the CEO of Kwiat. “A ring [of this caliber] would likely have a value in the range of $100,000 to $150,000,” the expert said. “While it has its roots in antique and vintage jewelry designs, it continues to have a timeless allure. The radiant cut diamond tends to appeal to a woman with a contemporary sense of style. The straight edges and cut corners that are the defining characteristics of the shape speak to a modern design sensibility.”

Hours before appearing on WWHL, Michele followed up on Wednesday with another shot from the proposal–this time of the couple reveling in the moment on some scenic beach. “Still on cloud 9!” she captioned the pic. “I you Z..”
Reich is the president of New York-based clothing company AYR. The pair first met at a wedding several years ago before forming a friendship that eventually turned romantic. The couple dated for about a year before their engagement.
