The Latest Beauty Executive Moves at Amorepacific, Jolie, Virtue Labs and More
From Barry’s new co-chief executive officer to Josie Maran’s post-rebrand chief marketing officer appointment: here, the latest executive moves in beauty.
Giovanni Valentini, most recently general manager at Lanc?me USA, is now chief executive officer of Amorepacific North America. The Korea-based company reports its North American sales grew 58 percent in 2023 versus the year prior, and Valentini aims to continue the momentum. He succeeds Robin Na, who will lead the business in Japan.

Julia Sloan has been named CMO of Josie Maran, which relaunched in February with new packaging and scents and forayed into hair care for the first time this spring. Sloan, who hails from NARS Cosmetics, is the first to hold the role at the argan oil-based brand.
Jolie, known for its filtered shower head which debuted in 2021 and has been a viral mainstay since, has named Larissa Rhodes as vice president of sales. Rhodes previously held the role at Hairstory and Olaplex, and is Jolie’s fourth full-time hire.
Jonathan Gantt has joined Barry’s as co-chief executive officer alongside Joey Gonzalez. The boutique fitness brand, which celebrates its 25th anniversary last year, is in expansion mode, having opened in Spain last month, with additional expansions into Athens, Greece and Dublin on the horizon.
Coty alum Caroline Chong has joined Virtue Labs as global vice president, retail sales, professional, and business development. In her role, Chong will bolster omnichannel and retail strategies for the brand, which recently entered Ulta Beauty.
Ralph Marburger, previously chief commercial officer at Virtue Labs, has been named chief marketing officer of the brand. Before joining Virtue Labs in 2023, Marburger held senior management roles at Combe Incorporated, the parent company of Just for Men and Vagisil.
Nest New York has named Toni Lakis as chief creative and brand officer. Having previously held creative director roles at MAC Cosmetics and Tiffany & Co., Lakis will head up the fast-growing fragrance brand’s global creative initiatives.
Also at Nest, Tanguy de Buchet has been appointed senior vice president, international. De Buchet previously served as chief executive officer at Actium, and has previously headed up intertnational efforts at Shiseido, L’Occitane Group and Coty Inc.
