Give Lady Gaga Some Applause for Helping a Fallen Oscars Photographer

The 'Shallow' singer gasped before rushing over to the photographer.

Lady Gaga is quick on her feet! 

The singer, 36 was walking the beige-colored carpet on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre before stepping into the 2023 Oscars ceremony when she noticed a photographer take a tumble. 

A video captured the singer—who wore a sheer, Versace drop-waist gown—as walked down the carpet, where she heard a loud thump in the background. This prompted the A Star Is Born actress to turn around, only to discover a photographer on the ground. Understandably, she gasped before running over to help him up.

The photographer smiled and shook her hand as a thank you for her act of kindness.

During the ceremony, Gaga performed her song "Hold My Hand," which she sang and co-wrote with producer BloodPop for the Oscar-nominated film Top Gun: Maverick.

Before jumping into the song, Gaga made a short speech. "It's deeply personal for me and I think that we all need each other, we need a lot of love to walk through this life," she said.

"We all need a hero sometimes. There's heroes all around us, in unassuming places," she continued. "But, you might find that you can be your own hero even if you feel broken inside." 

Gaga initially wasn't set as a performer during the Academy Awards due to a scheduling conflict while filming Joker: Folie á Deux. However, the superstar was able to pull a few strings to get time off-set to join the 95th Academy Awards' star-studded lineup of performers.
