La Marca Is Releasing a Rosé Prosecco Variety in Time for a New Year’s Cheers
Whether you’re kicking off a celebration or starting the weekend with mimosas, you’re going to need a good bottle of prosecco to pop open. La Marca is known for its solid bubbly that comes donned in a baby blue label, but now it’s stepping into the rosé game with the brand-new Prosecco Rosé in time for New Year’s Eve.
It’s not just the color that’s pretty — it’s the flavor, too. The La Marca Prosecco Rosé blends 89% traditional prosecco, with hallmark peach, citrus, and honeysuckle characteristics, and 11% pinot noir, with notes of strawberry and red fruit. So if you’re into the refreshing style of a sparkling wine with a fruity twist, this bottle is calling your name.
The good news is that you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on the celebration-worthy variety. The 2019 La Marca Prosecco Rosé is hitting select U.S. markets, and online retailers like Drizly and TheBarrelRoom.com, in mid-December 2020 for $16.99, followed by a vintage 2020 version will be released in spring 2021.
“We know Rosé consumers are looking to add something fresh and innovative to their wine repertoire,” Joyce Chen, director of marketing for La Marca, said in a press release. “We are also finding that consumers are looking for new ways to celebrate moments big and small. That’s why we are excited that America’s favorite prosecco now pops in pink — it’s an elevated yet accessible way for our fans to make every day sparkle.”
As detailed by La Marca, Prosecco Rosé is a new style of wine that the Italian National Wine Committee formally approved in May 2020. Leave it to La Marca to hop on the new bubbly as soon as possible!
