Kylie Jenner Elevates Mom Jeans With Rare Nike Sneakers That Resell For Up to $60,000

Kylie Jenner showed off rare Nike sneakers from her growing collection that would make any sneakerhead jealous.

The beauty mogul took to her Instagram Stories last night to give a peek into her outfit of the day, layering a white crop top with faded black mom jeans; her pants come from Levi’s and feature an on-sale price tag of $83 (they originally retailed for $98).
The boldest piece of her casual outfit was her Nike sneakers. From the naked eye, the colorful kicks may look like a bright take on a classic silhouette but sneaker fans will know these shoes are much more than that.
Jenner’s style is titled the Nike SB Dunk Low “What the Dunk,” a design that dropped all the way back in 2007 and has since become a sought-after shoe for its multicolored paneled uppers and mismatched patterns. The style pulls details from iconic Dunk colorways including “Pigeon,” “Huf” and “Heineken” amongst others. Originally retailing for just $120, the sneaker now is available on the resale market at elevated prices.
StockX offers the shoes anywhere from $12,000 up to $59,510 depending on the size whereas Stadium Goods has the pairs for $23,949 in just two available sizes.
According to an update from StockX in May, Jenner shared four images of herself wearing various pairs of Nike SB Dunks on Instagram this year. Every time the mega-influencer has shared Dunks with her 190 million followers, prices have jumped by 30% to 50%, according to the sneaker resale platform, while sales volume has at least doubled and, in some cases, even quadrupled.
On top of creating her own uber-successful Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin lines, the youngest Jenner sister also has had multiple gigs in the sneaker world. She formerly served as a brand ambassador for Puma before linking up with Adidas in August 2018, exclusively wearing Three Stripes styles in campaigns and across social media.
At the start of 2020, though, the celebrity posted photos of herself wearing a series of Swoosh sneakers, leading fans to speculate that her contract with Adidas had expired. Since then, Kylie has continued wearing rare Nike-adorned kicks, including rare Nike Air Yeezys and SB Dunk Lows from Travis Scott’s collaboration.
