Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard and Family Were ‘Stranded’ at Boston Airport
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard faced a travel nightmare while trying to fly out of Boston Logan International Airport with their family.
The couple documented their travel troubles on Instagram, as they and their two daughters, Lincoln, 10, and Delta, 8, were "stranded" after their flight was delayed for hours.
Bell posted a photo on July 26 of her family and friends sitting at the airport on her Instagram Stories, writing over it, "Stranded at Boston Airport... 9 hours of delays." The group played card games as they waited, but soon enough, the flight was pushed to the next day, forcing the group to find somewhere to stay overnight.
The Good Place actress continued posting photos from the experience, showing herself doing her nighttime routine in the bathroom of the airport as they bought supplies to camp out there, as "there were no hotels avail within 50 miles."
Shepard shared a video to his account of Bell setting up a sleeping area, calling it "home sweet home." She then got behind the camera and asked Shepard how much he'd spent on blankets and neck pillows. Throughout their conversation, they discovered that together, they'd spent around $600 on supplies to sleep there.
But then, it got worse, as Bell shared, "We wanted to stay but we were kicked out," leaving them to scramble for a place to sleep. Bell later updated fans, saying, "Thankfully we found friends of friends who offered us thier [sic] attics and accepted us at 1am!!!!!!" The kind new friends even took them for a hike the next day.
Many fans commented on the situation under Shepard's video, with one saying, "The family that sleeps on the airport floor together, stays together. That’s my armchair expert opinion.??," referencing Shepard's podcast called Armchair Expert.
"Making an adventure out of a frustrating situation. My absolute respect," said another.
Plenty of people shared that they would've gladly welcomed the family to stay with them, and even more stated how relatable they were.
"Stars! They’re just like us! ????Seriously tho - so sorry you are stranded!! Hope you get your adorable family home soon," wrote a sympathetic fan.
Many are facing extreme flight delays these days and could understand the struggle. Hopefully, the whole Bell-Shepard crew made it home safely on the rescheduled flight!
