Krispy Kreme Is Selling Coffee Glazed Donuts For National Coffee Day
Coffee and donuts go together like avocados and toast, like peanut butter and jelly, like...well, you get the idea. The pairing is so perfect that Krispy Kreme is offering a deal for National Coffee Day, which is on Saturday, September 29.
Starting on Monday, September 24, and continuing for a week until September 30, Krispy Kreme will "brew donut and glaze coffee," according to a statement. But what exactly does that mean?
The chain will be releasing a donut that is topped with coffee-flavored glaze, along with a new drink called the Original Glazed Coffee, which the company says is reminiscent of a "donut in a cup."
"Our coffee is going donuts, and our donuts are going coffee! It is a delicious, innovative approach to our iconic products,"Alison Holder, vice president of U.S. marketing for Krispy Kreme, said in a press release.
The coffee donuts will only be available for a week, but the Original Glazed Coffee will become a permanent item on the Krispy Kreme menu.
And if that isn't enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, you can also get a free cup of coffee, of any size, on National Coffee Day at participating locations. No purchase is necessary to redeem the discount, and Krispy Kreme rewards members will get an extra sweet deal, as they'll also get a free donut with their coffee on that day only. You can cash in on the deal if you sign up for the rewards program here.
