These New Korean Moisture Pads Cut Your Skin-Care Routine in Half
Most nights, I’m diligent about washing my face, applying toner, some kind of serum or essence and finishing things off with a soothing moisturizer. Sometimes I’ll even apply a mask after washing (I know, I’m great to my skin). But of course, then come those nights when I can barely pour myself a bowl of cereal for dinner let alone drag myself through a multi-step skin-care regimen. That’s exactly where Peach & Lily’s new moisture pads come into play.
Korean skin-care brand Peach & Lily recently launched a new wave of products, one of which is designed specifically for those days when you don’t have time (or are just too damn lazy) for your entire wash-tone-moisturize routine. The aptly named Lazy Day All-in-One Moisture Pads combine the effects of a toner, essence and moisturizer into one round pad. Just swipe one of the magical little pads across your face after washing and bam, you suddenly have an extra 15 minutes on your hands.
At first, I was skeptical that such a powerful bunch of products could be packed into just one cotton round. But after more than a month of using them, I have to admit they’re actually great. Like really great.
I started my trial by keeping the Lazy Day pads at my boyfriend’s apartment for nights I stayed over. My skin is pretty sensitive, so while skipping a few days of my regular routine isn’t exactly disastrous, I do notice a clear difference in the number of pimples, rough patches and dark spots if I do skip.
After washing my face, I applied one moisture pad as instructed and waited. Surprisingly, I found my skin felt totally clean, fresh and ready for a good night’s sleep. I continued to use the pads every few days for the next couple of weeks and every time, I was pleasantly surprised by how effective they were. In a handful of instances, I felt the need to apply an extra dollop of moisturizer before bed, but all in all, they did exactly what they promised to do. I even ended up buying a second pack to carry with me when I travel.
The Lazy Day All-in-One Moisture Pads aren’t meant to replace your full skin-care routine, but they are perhaps the most effective one-step alternative for days when you just can’t even. And I, for one, plan to keep these beauties on hand for all the foreseeable lazy days to come.
