Kody Brown, who rose to fame for his polygamous lifestyle on TLC's Sister Wives, is giving it all up!
In a special episode titled Sister Wives: One on One, which aired on Sunday, Dec. 17, the fallen patriarch opened up about his future now that three of his four marriages have disintegrated, leaving Robyn Brown as his final wife, and if he has any say, that's how it's going to stay.
Ex-wife Janelle Brown revealed during the broadcast that Kody has been "talking more and more about" moving "forward into monogamy." Between his statements and the fact that the couple appear to be "very happy" together, she doesn't see Robyn bringing around a potential new sister wife. "They have found something together at this stage of their life that seems to be very deep and I think it works. And that's okay."
After her statements, Kody confirmed he wasn't "interested" in bringing another woman into the mix. "I would have to tell that woman I will never love you as much as I love her," he explained. "Now I know better."
Robyn, for her part, isn't as confident as her husband. "It's weird. To be loving and respectful to Kody, I want to say yes but I just don't know how this works exactly," she confessed, suggesting the whole thing feels "weird" and "disrespectful" to Janelle and her fellow ex-wives, Meri Brown and Christine Brown, after Kody broke his promise of a bonded plural family.
Though the other women have blessed the remaining relationship on-camera, Robyn said she needs "an off-camera, to my face [conversation]" to know that they really support it.
"My commitment to them, to their kids, to Kody about this family is not broken," she continued. "And I don't know how to break it. I don't know how to be done with it."
