All There Is to Know About the 'Freaky Friday' Sequel
Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan sent millennials into a nostalgic tailspin when they told The New York Times earlier this week that they were open to the idea of a Freaky Friday sequel.
"As I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another Freaky Friday," Curtis said. "Something really touched a chord. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, 'It feels like there’s a movie to be made.'"
"Jamie and I are both open to that, so we’re leaving it in the hands that be," Lohan added. "We would only make something that people would absolutely adore."
According to Disney, a sequel is in fact in development with Elyse Hollander attached to write. The news comes 20 years after the release of the 2003 movie, in which Curtis and Lohan play a mother and daughter who magically swap bodies and learn a few things about each other in the process.
