Kingsport hosts nighttime Glow Walk event on the Greenbelt
KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL)—Kingsport Parks and Recreation (KPR) hosted a free “Glow Walk” event on the Greenbelt on Saturday.
The Glow Walk was a nighttime walk celebrating National Trail Day, June 1. Participants carried lanterns, flashlights, and glowstick necklaces.
Travis Sensabaugh, KPR Program Administrator, told News Channel 11 a little about what inspired the Glow Walk.
“And sometimes we’ll kind of take something that another city or a corporation has done, and we try to put our own little spin on it,” he said.
Sensabaugh said his family is active and always searching for something new and creative to get their energy out.
KPR will host other events, such as walks and runs throughout the summer. To learn more or register, visit the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Special Events tab on its website.
