Kim Kardashian and President Trump are reportedly meeting, and the internet can't cope
Her husband, Kanye West, is a fan. Her former stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner, calls him the “worst president we have ever had” regarding LGBTQ rights. And while Kim Kardashian may have supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, she’s now reportedly prepping for a major meeting with President Trump himself.
Vanity Fair reports that Kardashian and attorney Shawn Chapman Holley will meet with Jared Kushner and his father-in-law/boss at the White House on Wednesday to discuss prison reform. The unlikely summit will give the reality star the opportunity to lobby for the pardon of Alice Marie Johnson, a great-grandmother who has been serving a life sentence since 1997 for her involvement with a multimillion-dollar drug ring.

Kardashian has been vocal in her defense of inmates like Johnson, whose case she has reportedly been pursuing with Kushner for months. The White House adviser and husband of Ivanka Trump has been working to drum up support for the First Step Act, which would offer prisoners services like drug treatment and job training. It’s an issue close to Kushner’s heart, as his father, Charles Kushner, served time in a federal prison for crimes including tax evasion.
“I’ve been in communication with the White House and trying to bring her case to the president’s desk and figure out how we can get her out,” Kardashian told Mic earlier this month of her efforts to get Johnson pardoned. “That’s such a huge step from where we started with that not even being on their radar.
“I would explain to him that, just like everybody else, we can make choices in our lives that we’re not proud of and that we don’t think through all the way,” she added of the possibility of sitting down with Trump.
Though Kardashian will reportedly travel to the meeting without a film crew or entourage, her White House visit won’t be entirely without star power. According to Vanity Fair, White House staffers are buzzing with excitement, while Kushner and Ivanka Trump will reportedly host the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star for a private dinner at their home.
While this is something of a coup for Kardashian — who has also been tweeting about other inmates — the general public seems perplexed by the possibility of a Kardashian-Trump meeting.

This is too bonkers even for the Trump era. I hope the records for these years do not survive for aliens to discover in 10,000 years.

Welcome to mid-2018, folks. Meanwhile, Kardashian appeared to confirm the meeting in a tweet celebrating Johnson’s 63rd birthday, which coincidentally — or not — falls on the very day she’s headed to the White House. Ivanka Trump “liked” the tweet.
Happy Birthday Alice Marie Johnson. Today is for you ?
