Kim Kardashian asks fans to weigh in on her new honey blonde hair: 'Should I dye my hair platinum again or go dark?'
Kim Kardashian is asking fans their thoughts on her latest hair change.
The reality star, 42, took to Instagram on Saturday to share pics of her new honey blonde hair, which she debuted earlier this month. In the photo carousel, Kardashian rocks a blue crop top and leather pants. In one pic, she is joined by her sister Khloé Kardashian, who also is in a darker blonde hair phase. In her caption, Kardashian asked her more than 336 million followers, “Thoughts on Honey? Should I dye my hair platinum again or go dark?”
Fans were torn in the comments section. One wrote, “Dark. We need the OG Kim K back.” Another added, “It’s winter, go dark.”
Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner also thought Kardashian’s brown locks were best, writing, “Dark please.”
Still, others loved the platinum look that the natural brunette has sported for more than half of the year, ever since she dyed her hair in May for the 2022 Met Gala. Kardashian’s hair was a nod to iconic blonde Marilyn Monroe, whose dress Kardashian famously (and controversially) wore for Anna Wintour’s event. One follower commented, “Am I the only one the likes the platinum?” while another wrote, “We love a platinum Kimmy!”
Others approved of Kardashian’s current look, with one follower commenting, “We love Miss Honey.”
The SKIMS founder spoke to Allure in August about why she likes living the blonde life. She noted that she was a "different person" when she had lighter hair, explaining, “I’m sassier. I’m more confident as a blonde. As soon as I go back to brunette, I’m a boss.”
In a conversation with Mel Ottenberg for Interview Magazine back in September, Kardashian was asked about her hair trajectory for 2022. At the time, she said, “I am keeping it for a little bit. I feel like in the fall I’ll go dark, just because I don’t want to damage my hair. But, I do think blondes have more fun. I just feel different.”
