Kelly Clarkson Fans Are Taken Aback by Her Latest Performance
This new cover that Kelly Clarkson performed on her show demands to be heard!
In its third season, The Kelly Clarkson Show has already earned an Emmy and hosted memorable interviews with celebrities like Kristin Bell, Keith Urban, Melissa McCarthy, and this hilarious Sandra Bullock moment that went viral.
As part of her talk show, Kelly takes the stage for a special karaoke moment rightfully dubbed as “Kellyoke” and her latest song choice had fans deep in their feels. For this round, Kelly took on Ingrid Andress’ “More Hearts Than Mine,” which was the country singer’s debut single that immediately made it to the charts. Ingrid initially caught fans’ attention as an a capella singer on NBC’s The Sing-Off. Even before her success as a country music artist, she collaborated behind the scenes with artists like Alicia Keys and Sam Hunt. From the looks of it, things came full circle because now Ingrid’s latest single with Sam Hunt “Wishful Drinking” has fans listening to the tune on repeat.
Fast-forward three years after its debut, and Kelly has fans reeling after covering “More Hearts Than Mine.” Sometimes it’s easy to forget how powerful Kelly is as a live performer. Sure, she isn’t going on large tours or doing Las Vegas residencies, but it was that same voice that fans feel in love with on American Idol that nails every cover she performs for her show.
With a performance as beautiful as that, fans were quick to leave their opinions in the comment section. “This song is GORGEOUS! Such a sweet song. Hits ya in the feels. Kelly did a beautiful job. ??,” said one fan. “What more can we say about Kelly. She is amazing!!!” “This cover is amazing! I like it even more than the original. And I liked the original!” and “I’m very selective when listening to country music but please Kelly, make a country album even just for once! ??” were just a few of the sweet messages among the wave of compliments.
Needless to say, fans (us included) can’t wait to see what song she chooses for “Kellyoke” next!
