Kelley Flanagan’s ‘Bachelor’ Comments Were ‘Taken a Little Out of Context,’ According to Chris Harrison
Chris Harrison just called out former contestant Kelley Flanagan for spreading false rumors about The Bachelor.
It all started last week when Flanagan shared behind-the-scenes details about the dating show, claiming that producers locked her “up in a closet for three hours,” so she couldn’t talk to Peter Weber. Well, Harrison recently sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight and revealed that he confronted the attorney about her comments, which were “taken a little out of context.”
“I said, ‘What was that? We don’t lock people in closets, so clearly you weren’t locked in a closet for three hours,’” he said.
Harrison went on recall Flanagan’s explanation, adding, “What she meant by that was she was frustrated. She’s a smart girl who I think is used to getting what she wants, and she didn’t get that time with Peter.”
The Bachelor Nation host explained that Flanagan is likely referring to the green room where contestants wait until they’re needed on set. “You’re not in a closet. It’s in a room, and sometimes it takes hours,” he continued. “It depends on what’s going on at the time… I think Kelley was frustrated at the time, and that’s how she articulated that.”
Harrison also revealed that Flanagan apologized for her misinterpreted comments. “She’s like, ‘I’m so sorry that it came out that I was locked in a closet,’” he added. “So, everybody, it’s OK. Kelley was not locked in a closet, she’s safe and she’s good, and she apologized, and I laughed it off. I was like, ‘I get it, I knew what you were trying to say.’”
Phew, that was close.
