Keira Knightley Reveals She Is Pregnant with Her Second Child
Keira Knightley is expecting her second child with husband James Righton.
The 34-year-old actress revealed a baby bump in a Chanel Grecian-inspired, empire waist gown and chunky gold heels as she arrived at a Chanel cocktail party in Paris. The star was also pictured with musician husband Righton.
The private couple welcomed their first child daughter Edie in 2015, after marrying three years earlier in a low-key ceremony in the South of France.
Speaking previously about the impact of motherhood on her career, Knightley told Harper's Bazaar UK: "There's that sense of, like, I don't give a f**k.
"Once you've had that whole experience of leaking breasts everywhere and the messiness of it - there's no control, it's animalistic. I feel that in a funny way with acting it sort of helps; there is no embarrassment any more."
The star has always given a refreshingly honest response to the life-changing nature of becoming a mother, telling Balance magazine: "It doesn't mean I don't love my kid, it's just me admitting that the sleep deprivation, the hormonal changes, the shift in relationship with my partner, are all things that make me feel as if I’m failing on a daily basis.
"I have to remind myself that I haven’t failed, I’m just doing what I can do, but it’s not easy."
Knightley will return to big screen alongside Keeley Hawes in Miss World pageant drama Misbehaviour. The film is a retelling of the true story about a group of feminist activists who stormed the 1970 Miss World pageant in protest.
The Miss World pageant was the most-watched show in the world at the time and, nearly 50 years ago at London's Royal Albert Hall, a global audience watched on as the Women's Liberal Movement invaded the stage and chased the patriarchy into the wings while dropping flour bombs and leaflets into the auditorium.
