Kauai Humane Society Offers Unique 'Field Trip' Program to Help Dogs Get Adopted
About one dog a week is adopted out of this program.
While you're on your next Hawaiian vacation, consider spending a day with one of Kauai's most precious adoptable dogs while you take in the sights. That's right--through Kauai Humane Society's field trip program, locals and visitors alike can take dogs out of the shelter for a day of fun and love. According to TikTok user @juliettegd_, about one dog a week is adopted from this program!
Juliette and her partner got to spend the day with Foghorn, who is just as sweet as he is handsome. Though the couple themselves aren't in a position to adopt another dog, we know he'll be scooped up in no time!

This looks like the most fun way to spend a day of adventuring in Kauai, and we're so glad we got to see it! And if we're being honest, it looks like Foghorn was glad he got to be a part of it, too. Just look how happy he is running around on the beach!
"He’s so precious I hope he gets adopted," commented @issybellamae. Right? Maybe someone watching this video will go meet him, but we're just so glad he got to spend a day having fun instead of waiting in the shelter. It's a win-win for everyone involved!
"We did this on our honeymoon!" @maddawgwins shared. "Love this program!" Aww! There's literally never a bad time to spoil a dog, but a honeymoon is already so filled with love--we bet that was a dream come true! We know if we got the chance to take a field trip with a dog like Foghorn, we'd end up exactly like @hayhay_privv1. She said, "I would definitely do this and I would end up with a new dog." It would be so hard not to!
