Stepping out in New York with her beau Emilio Vitolo Jr., the “Batman Begins” actress modeled a cozy layered ensemble that included classic mom jeans and a soft black coat. The real eye-catching element of the look came with her fuzzy sweater, a rich purple number that added depth and a hit of brightness to her outfit.
When it came down to footwear, the “Dawson’s Creek” alumna slipped on a set of black round-toe boots made with smooth leather uppers. Set atop a low stacked heel, the sleek pair offers casual, everyday appeal as an easy-to-style staple in Holmes’ closet.
In the past, Holmes has styled the sleek boots with a mix of winter-ready looks. In November, for example, she ran errands across Manhattan, stopping to shop for books and to grab a cup of coffee along the way. For the outing, the actress opted for a chic soft gray double-breasted peacoat layered over navy blue tailored trousers; she completed the look with a leather tan purse and an Evolvetogether face mask.
When it comes to her chic style, the star of “The Secret” movie oftentimes favors on-trend silhouettes that are just as stylish as her outfit of choice. The 41-year-old is known for her top-of-the-line style, matching her go-to fall combo — relaxed pants, an oversize coat and a casual top —with everything from Veja sneakers to Common Projects kicks and flare-heel Dorateymur boots. As the weather heats up, though, you can find the actress in flowy dresses, more lightweight tops and a rotation of easy-going pieces like trending black “ugly” double-strap sandals.
Beyond off-duty style and impeccable footwear taste, Katie Holmes’ experience in the fashion industry earned her the title of an Olay brand ambassador; she also previously served as the face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Miu Miu, Ann Taylor and more top brands throughout her successful career.
