I found a similar pair for $25.

I’m a Southern Californian who moved across the country to New York City; while that fully labels me a city girl, I’m a country gal at heart, loving everything from sweet tea to Thomas Rhett. Another country love of mine? Western fashion — and Katie Holmes recently proved she’s just as big of a fan.

Earlier this week, Holmes wore a knit sweater, long trench coat, and casual blue jeans, but her shoes really took the look home. Her cowboy-inspired boots, which resemble these $37 Mysoft ankle boots to a T, featured a pointed toe and chunky block heel, making them both casual and dressy at the same time. Though, she broke a controversial fashion rule: wearing white after Labor Day. But this look proves it’s more than okay (and even encouraged) to leave that outdated guideline in the past.

The winter white color instantly integrates the hue into the cold-weather months. Not only is it reminiscent of snowflakes, white chocolate bark, and twinkling lights, but it’s a neutral, making a pair of Holmes-inspired shoes — like these on-sale Franka pointed-toe booties — versatile and easy to style. Better yet, the white color will never clash with brighter tones, allowing you to seamlessly mix and match similar shoes with the rest of your wardrobe.

Lookalike boots, such as these Linea Paolo tapered-heel shoes, are also elegant and luxe while commanding attention. And if you live in an area that gets snow, the shoes will reflect off of it, making for even more of a statement.

Mimicking Holmes’ look doesn’t have to box you in; the secret is in her Western-inspired style, pointed toe, and chunky heel — and we can’t forget about that iconic crisp-white hue. Beyond that, the style is up to you! Opt for a knee-high option like these tall Billini Finley boots for a leg-lengthening effect, complete with intricate stitching, a stacked heel, and fashionable pull-on tabs. On the other hand (er, foot), you can secure a pair of scale-like leather booties from Matisse that pair perfectly with maxi skirts and skinny jeans alike.

White Western boots don’t have to cost you much, either. In fact, I found a $25 pair, below, along with other stellar finds from Amazon and Nordstrom.
