Kate Middleton Says Prince Louis Is Bad at Social Distancing Because He Wants to "Cuddle Everything"
Everyone has been struggling with social distancing and lockdown guidelines—but Prince Louis has had particular difficulty. The two-year-old royal just can't seem to get the hang of the new normal.
In an appearance on BBC Breakfast, Kate Middleton said as much, explaining that her youngest's desire to "cuddle everything" was proving to be a real problem. "I was just saying, Louis doesn't understand social distancing," the Duchess said. "So he goes out wanting to cuddle everything, particularly any babies younger than him."
This isn't the first time Louis has proved to be a troublemaker for Kate during the pandemic. When the UK was still under strict lockdown in April, the Prince made video chatting with the extended royal family rather difficult, often hanging up in the middle of a call. "For some reason, he sees the red button and he always wants to press the red button," Prince William explained to the BBC. In the same interview, Kate admitted, "It gets a bit hectic, I am not going to lie, with a 2-year-old."
Still, Louis has found some ways to thrive during the pandemic. He's certainly been honing his fine art skills, as displayed in the photos Kate took of the Prince to celebrate his second birthday, which show him creating a finger-painted masterpiece. And he's also been experimenting with horticulture—and showing up his older brother in the process—as Kate revealed at an engagement last month. "The children are really enjoying growing their sunflowers, Louis's is winning so George is a little grumpy about that!" the Duchess said.
