Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Their Kids Were Seen Having Burgers and Fries at a Norfolk Pub
While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were continuing their work trip in New York City, Prince William and Kate Middleton were spotted across the pond having a more low-key weekend off-duty with their family. Hello! reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen out at a Norfolk pub, having lunch with their dog and three children Prince George, 8; Princess Charlotte, 6; and Prince Louis, 3. The Sun ran a photo of the family eating French fries and burgers outside on a wooden table. All were dressed casually. Kate had her hair in a ponytail and wore a dark sweater, sneakers, and what appears to be white shorts or a skirt.
Kate and William have a home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, where they quarantined during the height of the coronavirus pandemic last year. Kate spoke in April 2020 about that experience, taking care of George, Charlotte, and Louis.
“Children have got such stamina,” she told the BBC. “I don't know how, honestly. You get to the end of the day and you write a list of all the things you've done in that day. You've pitched a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake, you get to the end of the day. They've had a lovely time. It's amazing how much you can cram into one day, that's for sure.”
She added that for her family, like most others, “It’s been ups and downs.” With understanding what's happening generally, “George is much older than Louis is and things, but they are aware [that things are different because of COVID-19],” she said. “And I’m always surprised and although you don’t want to scare them and make it too overwhelming, I think it is appropriate to acknowledge it [the pandemic] in simple ways and age-appropriate ways.”
